Remove the air filter assembly. Disconnect the fuel hose. Disconnect the throttle linkage. Disconnect the vaccum hose and choke linkage. Remove the bolts, usually 2 that hold carburetor to engine. Sometimes the carb and intake are one unit, if not, it will have a clamp to remove.Reverse order for replacement.

Briggs and Stratton carburetors are probably the most user friendly on the market. Once you get access to the carb (which can be tricky, depending on the car) you can take it out by unscrewing the tiny flat head screw holding it in place.

Remove the Carburetor, Disassemble and soak it overnight in cleaning solution. Blow all the passages out with compressed air. Spray it thoroughly with Gumount cleaner.
