Likely the cowl vent has a rubber seal gasket. It needs to be replaced; although the cowl might also need to be replaced or repaired if the connectors are faulty. A cheap way to fix it is by using 3m 5200 marine adhesive sealant - it will not leak again.

Use a flat head screw driver to pry off the vent and replace the old gasket with a new one.

A leaking cowl vent is due to heavy corrossion. Clean the corrossion off first. If that dont work remove the vent and replace with new gasket.

Leaky cowl vents are very common, especially on Mustangs from 1997 and earlier. Since the brake fluid reservoir is located next to the cowl vent, the fluid sometimes drips out if one of the hoses has a leak. Repairing the brake hoses is an easy job, just time consuming. New brake hoses should solve your cowl vent problem.
