Very simple. You can buy a new antivirus software. I use a Eset Nod 32 Antivirus and I am very satisfied. Also good antivirus software is Kaspersky. But I recommend you a Nod 32.

I would use a good anti virus program which can track the virus and destroying it without destroying the file which was infected with it. Block the word or the virus from sending information about the computer's owner, his mails and his credit information to the person who made that virus.

install the standard firewall and antivirus software. scan the hard drive. if any infection is found then using the installed antivirus delete the viruses and the worms from the hard drive. after removing the virus restart the system.

Usually, a decent antivirus can get rid of moast of them. If your antivirus can't remove'em, chances are there are some "guests" on your computer that it can't even see. Safest way I know to make sure your computer is bug-free is to reformat it every once-in-a-while.
