Iodine stains your skin until the dead surface skin cells are pushed out bu new growth. You can try removing it with alcohol. My advice is to exfoliate and moisturize to speed up the process of sloughing off of old, dead skin cells. It takes a little time but it will eventually come off.

Many hand cleaners may be able to do the trick. Try to go for the industrial strength kind and not the simple handsoaps people put in their bathrooms. At the very least you can reduce the appearance of the stain with these industrial hand cleaners.

Rubbing alcohol or witch hazel extract in an alcohol base will usually remove an iodine stain from skin. Apply using a gauze wipe or a cotton ball, and scrub vigorously.

Iodine will eventually fade from your skin after you wash with regular soap and water, but if you cannot wait, you could try using rubbing alcohol to speed up the process. Tape will also help. Just put a piece over the iodine spot and then remove it. It will pull the access color off immediately.

You can use rubbing alcohol (the higher the percentage of the alcohol, the better it is) in removing the stain. Just get a cotton or small piece of cloth then soak it on the rubbing alcohol and rub it against the affected part of your skin. Try to do it for a couple of times until the stain fades.

The best remedy to removing iodine stains from the skin is time. Iodine sports an oh-so-attractive brown-orange color that penetrates the top layer of skin. Wash the area thoroughly, and in time, the staining will fade. It should not last more than a couple of days, especially with frequent washing of the area.
