Insert your Windows CD into the CD drive and restart the computer. At the BIOS setup, make sure that your CD drive is selected as the first startup device. A screen will appear that says press any key to boot from CD. It will take a moment, but from there you can follow the on screen instructions.

First, you need to boot up the system, usually with a Windows installer CD/DVD, then install your operating system of choice.

The easiest way would be to install Windows from a Windows 98 disk. Simply put the disk in the CD drive and follow the instructions given.

To reinstall Windows 98 insert the disc. During botting up press F12 or DEL to enter the boot up menu. In this menu choose boot from disc, maybe a restart is neeeded. When the PC asks you to press a key to boot from disc, do so and follow through the installation.

It's probably on floppy disks so just reboot to the disk and then the install prompt should allow you to install.

Once the hard drive has been cleared you need to insert the windows 98 installation disk and boot from it. It may do it automatically bu sometime you need to hit the C button or change some bios settings. Once it booted, it should walk you through the install process.

To reinstall Windows 98 after erasing your hard drive, you would need the original disk and before turning on the computer put it in the drive so it boots to the OS disk, when it does you must follow all instructions and reload Windows 98. When you are done you must have the product key or windows will not work.

Insert your installation disk and follow the instructions. If you don't have a disc, ask a friend, download a copy, or call Microsoft.
