How do you recover if you are afraid of heights?

I want to get over this fear.

When you find yourself at an extreme altitude or elevation try taking a few deep breaths and thinking pleasant thoughts. Look at your surroundings and find at least 3 things which are keeping you safe during your activity. Think of how many people routinely visit the same location you are without incident.

The best way to recover or better yet overcome the fear of heights is to gradually expose yourself to situations that bring out your fear of heights. You would have to gradually face them, just a little bit at a time, not full forceso you won't be overwhelmed. You may have a relapse of the fear of heights.
