How do you raise a tomato horn worm?

I found two of them, and I'd like to raise them.

You basically want to put them in a shallow container with dirt, they will bury themselves at the bottom when it is time for them to pupate.

Well, they like to eat the leaves from tomatos, eggplants, tobacco and potatos. Make sure they're not near marigold plants so as to keep them safe. When it comes time for them to pupate over the course of winter be sure to have soil nearby where they can tunnel to begin the process.

As with any "pet" you have to supply food and water. These worms are caterpillars and will hatch into a large moth that helps pollinate night blooming flowers. They terrorize tomato plants and devour them quickly. If something resembling a small rice grain appears on the worm's back, remove it, as it is a parasitic wasp egg.
