Green-winged macaws are one of the largest macaws and young macaws require a specialist diet such as Kaytee macaw hand rearing formula. Macaws are difficult to work with as adults and specialist advice should be sought.

First put the bird in a clean, comfortable and spacious cage..(depends on its size..but bigger cage is better). You should supply the bird with enough quantity of food everyday and a water with vitamins put in dishes (that is also should be clean).You can also put perches in the cage so they can land there anytime.

Macaws will be most healthy if they are fed a good dry food made for macaws, like Kaytee Exact or Pretty Bird, a small amount of seed mix (too much seed is fattening) and plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables. Pay lots of attention to him!
