You must first rack the 15 red balls as you would in a normal game of 8-Ball. Place the pink ball on the spot the rack would normally be placed on, called the "pyramid mark". Place the red balls in the triangle rack and place the balls as tight as possible to the pyramid mark without touching the pink ball.

In snooker, all of the red balls are racked up like the regular 8-ball pool game. The colored balls are laid out on dots around the table.
