How do you put a rug on stairs?

In home repair stores you can find a special type of double sided tape that normally works on carpeted stairs and hard surfaces. Put the tape on each step and the front of each step, working from bottom to top, press the rug firmly against the tape and press into into the creases of the stairs as well.

If you don't want to go out and buy a rug for a staircase from home depot then you can take one and cut it yourself. You need to cut it just right, so that it lays tight against the steps and doesn't cause a trip or run. Next you staple the rug into place.
