First, you should stay very calm and keep the dog calm. You should lift right under the front legs and under the back legs trying to avoid the injury areas.

You can improvise a simple stretcher with a large towel or blanket, or use it to support the dogs weight and allow it to walk if it's able to.

Usually it will take two people and you need to slide something under the dog so that when you left it wont bend and hurt him more.

I'll try to carry him by putting my hands in his body, since he's large enough , I'll try to get some help, that way , he'll be much comfortable with it, also, preparing dog bed and scratching him after the lifting process is done will do much better.

Preferably with a blanket around the dog slowly lift, supporting the rib cage and flank, unless those are the injured areas. Rule of thumb, your dog's weight you can carry.

First of all i would not advise lifting an injured dog if you are unfamiliar with it,but you should lift from under it's legs very carefully.

In order to properly lift a large dog when he has been injured, you should attempt to try to lie the dog on his back then use both arms to raise him gently
