It might be best to check you owners manual. In that it will give you a code to put in and then you would go from there. If you don't have the manual, you can always get on on e-bay...
Enter your Jeep, close the doors and the trunk. Put key in the ignition and keep the key in the off position. Open the driver's. Move the switch on the door to the lock position. Switch the key two clicks to the right. Press the lock button on your remote for 5 seconds. Release the button and remove key.
close all door, ignition OFF, Leave driver's door open,lock mechanical door lever, RUN ignition, aim transmitter at receiver and press Lock, hold five seconds until door locks.
