First, you must buy a fine sand paper for sanding furniture and sand the piece till the finish is off. Then put a coat of primer on the piece. Then put the first layer of paint on, let dry and apply a second coat. You can also apply a hard clear coat on a table top.

Sand the furniture to get all the old paint off. Buy a paint that has a sealant in it or a primer all ready in it. Paint the furniture and then sand it again. Paint it to make it look smooth , a third sanding might be required it it doesn't look smooth.

Apply pain stripper on the wooden furniture. Then sand it down. It is ready to be painted. If it's plastic, clean the furniture before painting.

The most important thing is to sand it down and strip it of former varnish and paint. You will then be ready to apply the pant effect of your choice.

Start by cleaning the furniture. Remove any loose or peeling paint. Fill or sand any imperfections away and clean again. Then prime the surface with a quality primer. Then after the primer has dried apply your topcoats according to the directions. Allow to dry fully before use.

Scrub the surface with fine sand paper until it is smooth and clean. Use the first coat of the paint and after it is dry apply another for smooth finishing.
