How do you move a couch into a narrow apartment?

I am having a difficult time getting my couch into my apartment door, I was thinking I could remove the door frame but am unsure if that will be safe.

If you need to remove the door frame, ask your landlord first if you are allowed to do that. Otherwise, try sideways at an angle.

To move the couch it maybe worth considering removing the window if you are on a ground floor, they are often wider than doors. I am sure however that it will be perfectly safe to remove the door frame as long as you put it back carefully in the same place.

Removing the door frame is the way to go. Do it carefully and you can restore it in a few minutes. You then avoid damaging the couch.

the best way would be to get a friend to help stand the couch upright then turn the back of the couch into the gap tilt if the couch is to long this should give you a good angle to get the couch in also take any cushions of arms where possible

They sell a proudest at home depot that helps slide furniture. Turn the couch on its side and slide it using this product.
