The easiest way is to take a blank sheet of paper, fold it in half, either way, and write, or draw something on the front, and then in the middle write your personal message. On the back it's fun to put something like made by, your name.

Fold a piece of construction paper either vertically or horizontally; in either case, be sure to leave one side slightly larger than the other. This will allow for easy opening. On the cover create a design and on the inside write your message. As an optional decorative element, sign your name on the back.
