To compose playable guitar solos you must learn musical elements such as scales to make a melodic solo. If you are just learning a solo, start slow and practice often.

To be able to play them good and efficiently you have to do daily practices so your hands will get faster and so you can find the place of the notes quickly. Then, if you want to learn to play a certain song's guitar solo, you would have to either look up its tabs on internet.

Like the old joke about how to get to Carnigie Hall-practice!! By using effective practice techniques, you'll play with confidence. Practice each section slowly. Practice in your head by looking at the music without the guitar.

The best thing to do is get a good teacher who can show you what to do. There really is no replacement for a good guitar teacher. Failing that, there are many videos online at places like YouTube that show you how to play solos as well.

Break the solo down into small manageable sections and learn the section by trying it slowly, gradually building up the speed, then move onto the next section and do the same, gradually adding each section until you have the solo down. There are machines out there that will slow down the music to help you.

Playing guitar takes a lot of dedicated practice. Being able to read music or tabs is important if you want to learn to play songs from already established artists or if you are musically inclined enough you can make your own.

Listen to the song first and be aware of the notes being played. You could try and use basic scales to learn each note or look for guitar tabs online.
