How do you know if your homeowner's includes recoverable depreciation?

I can't find anything about it in my policy.

Most homeowner's insurance policies do include recoverable depreciation, but the only way to be certain is to check with your insurance company. Unfortunately, though, if your policy does not list it, then it may not be the case for you. Your best bet is to check with your insurance company for verification of benefits.

If it is not clearly spelled out in your policy, the easiest way to know for certain is to contact their customer service department and ask.
