All homeowner policies are different, so refer to the written policy for specifics. e.g., some policies cover damage from trees due to storms/wind but consideration may be given to trees that were not properly maintained and fell because of a lack of maintenance.

Coverage will be provided for any damage to your home, detached buildings or improvements, such as a fence, any contents of the home that are damaged, and any damage you may be liable for to a neighbor. All of these will, of course, be subject to policy and coverage limits.

This varies, depending upon your policy. Usually, it will cover damage to your home, but not to any vehicles, or to remove the tree. It varies, however.

Most homeowner's insurance policies will offer a small amount to remove trees, such as $500 per occurrence (not per tree). If you have a deluxe policy you may have an additional amount available, such as $2,500. You also have the ability to purchase an endorsement that will provide a higher amount of recovery for tree removal.

It covers any damage to your property and the property of others, assuming that you have adequate limits to pay those damages. It doesn't pay for removal of the tree.
