Some of the largest species of the wasp family, cicada killers do sting but are not aggessive unless bothered. A product such as CB Wasp Freeze will take care of the wasps; a good place to do this is as they leave or enter nest. Liquid treatments done during the nighttime will catch them unaware and in the nest.

Usually Cicada killers are wasps so natural bug spray will kill them. Sometimes gasoline and fire on the hive can wipe them out just as easily. Be warned though, sometimes this creates an unbalance in your own private ecosystem.

Mark the nests, a good suggestion I found was easy-to-see white plastic picnic knives. At night, when they are in the nest, pour 2-3 cups ammonia in the holes.

Seven dust works well, also twenty mule team borax laundry soap works well in killing many bugs. You just spread it where ever and it will kill the bugs.

With cicada killers nesting in the grounds, locate their nests during night time and spray with either insecticide or kerosene. Ducks and hens could also be used as predators.
