This depends on how many floors your house has, does it have a basement, and does it have a crawlspace. Here in Florida, where most houses have crawlspaces, and not basements, it mostly involves getting up into said crawlspaces and just laying the ducts. Which you then attach to your Ac unit and vents. It's fairly easy work.
