How do you install a water temperature gauge for a 22re?

I'm assuming you're referring to a Toyota 22re engine whereon the coolant temperature sensor for the instrument cluster is located on the intake manifold by the #3 intake port. You could also purchase a thermostat outlet for a 22RTE with a post-thermostat sensor ( not recommended as it will read normal with no coolant present).

To install a water temperature guage for a 22re there are two sensors on the right side is the oil pressure sensor close to the oil pan. You may have the oil pressure wires connected backwards and lengthen the wires to connect to the front of the head
