Place a bead of thermal paste in the center of the CPU. Then slowly place the heatsink over the center of the cpu, and clip the support bracket in place.

every socket have its own method for installing a heatsink so which processor you got? check the product manual or tell something about your processor

After removing the old one you may need to see if the new one looks the same. If not do not worry most of the times 99% heat sinks can be installed by only applying pressure
