You simply need to follow instructions coming with the particular glue that is used to attach the tiles, then you can grout, and clean.

You can put a 4x4 tile as follows, first clean the area throughly of dirt or other adhesives, if the wall is a painted surface sand it to make it rough.The next step is to mix the setting mixture for the tiles,mix and let sit 15 min. ,then put setting on wall ,set tile, put spacer and do next tile.

Draw a level line about one tile height from the bottom. Attach a wood strip horizontally on the line to hold your first row of tile. Use thin set to attach the first row and continue rows until the wall is covered. Remove the wood strip and complete the job.

You need to make sure that what you are installed the tile on is clean. Using tile paste, apply with a trowl. Tile in square pattern or in triangle, depending on your preference. Use spacers to separate tiles evenly. Press tiles firmly in place. Wait 24 hours and apply grout.
