How do you have money trees for a wedding?

All you have to do is display the tree in a pretty way that is out in the open, and people will know what to do with it. Display it right after the ceremony, have somebody announce its presence at the end of their speech (or the officiant) and state whether you'll do the money dance as well or not.

A money tree can be tasteful when done right. By having a beautiful artificial table top display, your guests won't miss the place to put cards and gifts of money. Place the tree on the present table or by the Guest Book. Start it off with a few rolled up bills tied on. And always send thank you cards!

When I got married, my mother placed a money tree on the same table as my wedding cake at the reception. That way, guests who had not attended my bridal shower could still give us a gift. It worked great. I got about 700 dollars for my honeymoon.

Have someone who can fold bills into a fan shape fold them and tie them with ribbon to a gold or silver tree you can buy in a craft store.

The best way is to set up a little wire tree and some easy ties for people to attach money to. It's also nice to have notes to go with the money so it can be more personal. Then write a sign that explains it, and tell people instead of gifts to bring money.

Money trees should be placed on the gift table. It can be used to accept money instead of placing it in a card however is considered controversial nowadays. Most guests if opting to give the bride and groom money place it in a card. It is not good etiquette to ask for money and it might appear money hungry.

You would place the tree somewhere close to the gift area, but not as the main attraction. You could have a cute little poem or saying near the money tree.
