How do you go about reformatting Windows 98?

you need a bootable dos cd goto dos and write fdisk here delete "primary" , "secondary" , "secondary in primary" all the partations now select create partations and create primary and secondary partations and restart pc

Windows 98 came with a system disc in case you needed to reformat. Get your disc, place it in the cd-rom drive, or floppy drive (depends on age of the computer), and then restart. The computer will read the system disc and give you options on how you want to go about it. Click reformat, then wait while it does.

I am not sure that your question makes any sense. Do you mean how do you reformat the hard drive?
