This is a really difficult task that takes a lot of man hours and without the proper tools and instructions it will be next to impossible. I'm saying this not to discourage you from trying it but to encourage you to find more help from qualified professionals who know what they're doing.

Take accurate-measurements & pictures BEFORE you start. WEARING GLOVES & SAFETY GLASSES: Carefully, from-the-top-down-to-the-bottom chisel-out the old-mortar & remove bricks. Mix new-mortar to specifications; trowel mortar, lay bricks, & scrape/shape-excesses.
