Remove your strings and hardware. Use sandpaper to remove the old paint. Make sure the wood is smooth. Apply a coat of primer. Use tape to cover any part you don't want painted. Spraypaint guitar the desired color. Apply two coats of lacquer to give some shine.

Take it somewhere or it will not turn out right. It is easy to ruin a guitar if you don't paint it right.

You need to remove the hard wear and strip the body to properly paint a guitar. You will then need a coat or two of primer after you sand it down. Sand the primer and paint it the desired color. Let dry for 3-5 days and then finish with a few coats of lacquer.

It is really best not to paint a guitar body. Painting the body of the instrument will negatively affect its ability to resonate. Leave it alone!

Well you wouldn't want to go about doing it yourself unless you are experienced in painting guitars because they're is a special type of paint and techniques used. Your best bet would to go to music store and ask them.
