The purse is made from the top part of the pants. Cut off the legs and stitch across the bottom. Make handle from leg fabric and attach. May be lined.

Cut off the legs of the jeans just below the bottom of the zipper and sew shut. Use the excess fabric to create straps and sew to top of purse.

Take an old pair of jeans, lay them flat, and cut just above the crotch seam. Sew the bottom together, make a handle for the purse, and off you go!

You can go online and find a pattern of purse you like. Measure out the fabric of the jeans to the measurements of the pattern and sew using a sewing machine. You can add some fun embellishments on the purse and you can add buttons to close it with. You could also use velcro to close it.
