Turn off the mains. Draw and connect a 3 core wire through a conduit to a nearby distribution block. Then connect and mount the outlet. Always double check and test.

To begin with you make sure that the power is turned off to the specific outlet. After that remove the outlet cover and screws holding current outlet to the wall. Then loosen the screws on the side of the outlet reconnect the new outlet in the same way but with the green (ground) wire attached to the green screw.

The hot wire will go on the gold screw, the neutral wire will go on the silver screw, and the ground wire on the green screw.
