It is not possible to fully explain how to cut hair without demonstrating it also. There are videos on youtube that will show you how, but the best way to learn is to go to cosmo school. You may also get a friend who knows how to show you.

It is hard to explain without a photo. Take a clipper on a short guard, and go up the head, and gradually taper it off where the head gets round. Take a longer guard, and go over the top of the head. Then take a medium guard and blend it.
