Spiders usually show up when they have insects to prey on. If you want to get rid of them, make sure you get rid of their food source. Try nets/meshes on all holes/vents/openings in the house and get rid of whatever "guests" are in there already.

Keep your area very clean make sure you sweep under the beds and move furnature and vacuum underneath it. Spiders do not like the scent of bayberry so get a candle and place it in the room after you clean let it burn for awhile to get the scent out.
