In order to get a chocolate cherry hair color, it would probably be best to seek the advice of a professional. they will be able to match your current hair color with the right hair color for your desired new shade.

Visit your local Sally's Beauty Supplies location, and speak with an employee about what color you would like to achieve. All you will need is a pair of disposable gloves, dye, developer (typically 20 volume), and an application bottle. They have hair samples below each box of dye to give you an idea of the end result.

My advice would be to get a dark red dye. Use it, but don't use the whole bottle because you want your natural color to pop through.

To get chocolate cherry hair, use Garnier Nutrisse Dark Reddish Brown. It also goes by the name Chocolate Cherry. You could also use L'Oreal Feria, #36, Chocolate Cherry.
