The CD key for Windows XP is printed on the installation media (usually a CD) that the original installation was performed from. Also, some PC's come with stickers on the case that include the CD Key.

If your computer came preinstalle a XP Key should be located on a sticker on your computer somewhere, normally on the bottom of a laptop or on the side or top of the computer tower/unit. If you purchased a copy of XP you should find the key on the back of the CD case.

The location of a CD Key for Windows XP depends on the type of install on the PC. If you purchased a boxed version of Windows XP, the key is located on an orange label on the booklet. If it came installed on the computer, the key is on the computer either on the back or front.

If you've bought your computer with Windows XP pre-installed by the system manufacturer, cross-check at the back of your laptop if you have a laptop or at the sides of the system unit if you have a desktop system. Or try asking for the Key from where you've bought the computer.
