How do you evict someone when you live in Georgia?

The renters of my house are not following the guidelines of the lease and need to be evicted.

The best way to go about this is probably getting an attorney. You have every right to evict someone that is not following the guidelines on a lease that they signed and agreed upon on the and every right to do what's in the best interest of you and your investment property.

Go to the appropriate department at the city and file eviction notice. Then give it to the sheriffs department so they can serve it for you.

Been there, OHHH, done that. You need to consult your town's statutes, this is not state regulated, but often by town or county statute. Landlords have little recourse if you haven't got a signed lease. However, if damage,or drugs apply, or you can prove your tenant is breaking the law, creating a hazard, you have more recourse with the court.

You will need to file for eviction with the Justice of the Peace court, and follow their specific timeframes for notices and court dates.
