You can eat a never ending gobstopper, it just takes an extended amount of time to do compared to other hard candy. The multiple layers if hard "jawbreaker" candy is very dense and solid. Don't try to chew it or you might chip a tooth!

It is not "never-ending. " Because it is unreasonable to believe that it is, the makers cannot be accused of false advertising. Eventually the huge gobstopper gets smaller and smaller until it disappears.
