You need an embroidery machine as well as the software to go with it. Typically, you scan a picture of your dog, transform it to the specific software format, and finally transfer it to the embroidery machine. Or have it done in a specialized boutique.

Well it's pretty simple but first you need to figure out how you want your dog to look. Trace the picture of your dog onto a pattern and then you just embroider all over it.
