Adjustments for a headlight door do vary. The standard method is to use a vacuum system to open and close the headlights. However, for Corvette C3 models, the up and down adjustment is made by an adjustment bolt located in under the front end of the car.

Under the hood, there are three bolts which can be accessed to adjust left to right. To adjust up and down, there is one bolt on each assembly.

You have to use a vacuum system to open and close the headlights. There is an up and down door adjustment also.
