How do you do a bicep curl?

I need to make sure I am doing the bicep curl right.

The most important thing to remember is DO NOT SWING. It takes away from the bicep and is a great way to injure your back! Keep your elbows close to your body and lift slow to control the weight. Try to only move your forearms, not your upper arm,

Start with the dumbell at your side. Then make sure you keep your elbow still and pull the weight up. You need to also stand up straight and not use your back. Simply engage your bicep muscle and lift the weight. You want your closed palm to be facing up while doing the curl

Keep your elbow locked, and hold the weight (dumbell or curl bar) in your hand and bend your forearm concentrating on the bicep.
