How do you dissolve a trust?

You need to go before the court and present reason why the trust, given by the court, should be dissolved- it's not as intimidating as it sounds.

It depends. If the documents forming a trust make it "revocable," the creator can dissolve it. Often the terms of the trust itself will permit (or require) dissolution under specified conditions (passage of time, accomplishing the goals, etc. ). Otherwise a court can declare that the purpose of the trust has been met or that dissolution is consistent with its purpose.
