Question by  Doris (1)

Is a Revocable Living Trust which was made to included a former Boyfriend of less than 2 years valid?

The Trust contained a clause that whoever funded the Trust should get back his or her own funded amount into the Trust and that either party can dissolve the Trust. Abusive relationship was dissolved. Blinded a stupid woman. Boyfriend now claims Millions of $$$, plus maintenance. Attorneys have a Ball!

There is no time frame that makes a trust valid. If it was properly signed and witnessed, its probably legit. You should have an attorney look at it.

The laws for trusts vary from state to state. In general, anyone can be a party. However, if a trust was made under abuse or duress, it might be invalid.

If the Trust was legally valid in that the owner was in sound mind and not coerced, then the legal documents are valid.

The trust is not valid. Such legal document's integrity is contingent on the relationship remaining intact. Benefits should in this case be distributed per stirpes.

Ask your attorney, but yes, on the face of things it's valid; if it's dissolved or he broke the conditions then no he doesn't get any $.

Trusts are very complex documents. It's important to know if the boyfriend is a trustor, a beneficiary, or both. In short - see an attorney immediately.
