landscaping is done with a plan the sun rises in the east so on the grow taller hedges of u wanna bloke sun and save energy or short ones to allow sunlight plant tall hedges around windows if you want privacy also pay attention to plant needs if side of house dosnt get much light dont buy a plant thatrequiresalot

Usually people will plant hedges where ever you have a lot of snow pile up in the winter or if there is a place people aren't suposed to drive.
