This is the time to be creative. You can look at magazines and search the internet for various pictures. You then have a base idea of what you want. You will have to take into consideration what beads you have and how many. This will determine the length. In addition, do you want the pattern repeated or free flowing.

Beading is a lot like painting. You can choose what ever chain you want, with what ever clasp you want, and whatever beads and pendants you want. Beading patterns should not be TOO detailed, since there is not much focus, and people do not stare at patterns for very long. As long as you like it, that's perfect.
