Try easing them into separation. At first only for maybe a couple of minutes and when they get used to that increase the time.

You have to just let them get used to fact that you (the parent) wont be around them (the child) all the time. You have to get them used to being around other people.

Separation anxiety in kids is very common thing. To help ease their anxiety you should always practice separation and you should have a good and constant way of saying goodbye. Also when leaving your kids tell them you are leaving and that you will return later. Make sure you do not stick around, just say your goodbyes and leave.

Slowly reach out to the child, rushing will only make this worst. Slowly gain their trust. If the anxiety persists, then try asking the child about it. Ask the child's teacher to monitor them. If all else fails then call a psychiatrist, they will most likely be able to help.
