Use red lipstick to outline the electrical box press the board against it as it would be mounted on the wall cut around the imprint in the drywall. Yes, lipstick.

You would need a tool called a jab saw which is a hand held saw that you will insert into the drywall and cut out your premarked hole. Once you see this saw it's use will become apparent. If you can't find a jab saw you could always use an old fashioned box cutter also called a drywall knife.

Hold the box with the open end against the wall and trace with a pencil. Cut it out with a knife and insert the box turning the tabs closed.
