To create the look of leather you will need to work in 2 steps. First paint the walls in a natural brownish-orange color and allow to dry thoroughly. Second, mix a lighter color with a bit of paint thinner or water (for oil or latex paint) in a 3:1 ratio, and apply unevenly by blotting with a large lint-free towel.

You will need to get leather paint and treat the walls with pasting the walls in order to form an textured look. Then you will paint over and allow to dry.
