In the united states, generally women's shoes are two sizes bigger than mens: ie if you wear a nine in womens you'd wear a seven in mens. However, women's shoes are narrower then mens.

The general rule is that a men's size plus two is the women's size. However, keep in mind that women's shoes are narrower on average.
