A women's size 10 shoe is equivalent to a men's size 8 shoe. Every manufacturer and style provides a different "cut" to the shoe which causes variance in width at a given point, overall length, size of toe "box", arch support, and other characteristics. Typically, a men's size 10 athletic (running shoe) is approximately 12" long.
