The best way to control psocids is to control their environment. Psocids eat mold, generally associated with moist environments. Move books and boxes away from the wall a few inches and raise them off the floor to allow circulation. Turn on a dehumidifier and get the humidity below 50%.

These pests thrive in moist humid conditions, in the home and outdoors as well. Try installing a dehumidifier indoors, and make sure that presence of moisture is eliminated. Outdoors you will have to remove anything which is decaying or rotting, like old firewood, rotting trees, brush, this will help in controlling infestations.

You will need to get psocid spray. It's found in Home Depot or at Lowes or Menards. Apply to the tree about 8 feet up in June and July.
