One of the simplest ways to connect 2 computers is to take an Ethernet cable and connect both computers with it. You need to make sure that you allow the computers to share with each other in the "Network Options" page of both machines.

If the computers are near each other, like in the same room, you only need a net cable. This cable can be bought in any electronic store, just specify the lenght. Connect both computers and start the network configuration assistant.
