if this is a network printer, it should be connected to the network and given an IP address. Then it can be easily connected by searching the network that has the IP address designated for the printer and install the driver. This process may be different for different printer brands and models/

Well this is easy if you have a wireless or network computer. Then you just follow the manufactures directions on how to set it up as a "network" printer.

To connect two computers to the same printer, you'll need to have all 3 pieces of equipment linked together in something called a network. In most cases, the printer will be hooked to the 'main' computer on the network and the second computer will link to the main computer.

YOu can either purchase and configure a print server which will share the printer on an IP address or you can install the printer on one computer, share the printer on that computer, and then connect to the shared printer on the second computer.

To connect 2 computers to one printer you must use a router. Plug the printer into one computer, turn on printer sharing, and connect the computers to the router.

You can, and you can do this at any time once a network exists between the two computers. Simply connect the printer to one of the computers, install it localy there, and on the other computer install the printer "from network".The printer sharing on the first must be on though.

To connect two computers to one printer, you would first attach your printer to one of the computers. You would use your operating system's "Shared Printer" feature on each of the two computers. For more information, Google search "printer sharing" followed by the name of your Operating System(s).
